On the way to the Matura: Stella Secondary School
It is one of the most exciting, thrilling and beautiful phases in our lives – and also a great challenge: the path from childhood to adulthood. What children and young people learn during this phase and how they develop affects their whole personality and shapes them for life.
Stella Gymnasium therefore not only imparts academic excellence, but also sets another important focus: character education, based on the internationally renowned “Leader in Me” concept. Based on Christian Catholic values, inspired by the spirit of Opus Dei, we impart openness to the world, respect and mutual support. We accompany individual personality development and promote the development of character strengths.
Stella Secondary School launched in September 2021 with one Year 5 class; a new class will join each academic year. Until we move to our permanent premises in Donau City in 2-3 years’ time, the school is operating in temporary premises in 1020 Vienna, Lassallestraße 7a, Unit 4 / Walcherstraße 6, Unit 1. The entrance to the secondary school is located at Walcherstraße 6 / Unit 1 / OG3.
The Stella-Gymnasium is an all-day school in non-interlocked form. This means that lessons and afternoon care are held separately. The school offers optional lunch and afternoon care with learning support by teachers as well as a variety of sporting and cultural leisure activities. It is also possible for children to attend school only in the morning. The school’s after-school care and its offers can be taken up by the pupils at their own discretion with the consent and at the expense of the parents or guardians.

Stella International School came into being on the initiative of a group of committed parents. We seek to provide a cosmopolitan education centred on values that will enable young people to forge the society of tomorrow. Public funds cannot cover the crucial extra support, inspiration, resources and activities a Stella education gives.
