Language focus and internationality

From the 1^st grade onwards, lessons are bilingual: the first working language is German, the second English. English is used as the working language in different subjects to varying degrees. English native speakers are employed as assistants for around 3 hours per week in specialist subjects. At the end of each school year students receive a Cambridge certificate.
As of the 3^rd grade of the secondary level, Latin is added, as of the 5^th grade a second living foreign language (Russian / Spanish). Other languages are offered as optional subjects (e.g. French).
In addition, cooperation with other schools at home and abroad is sought and joint projects are carried out.
For children who have little knowledge of English from primary school, preparatory English courses are offered as part of the summer camps (holiday weeks).
