Fees and Scholarships

Tuition

An investment in your child’s future

Education with a special emphasis cannot be funded via state education budgets alone. This means that we need donations and  school fees to fund Stella Primary School,  –  a private school founded by a group of committed parents and priding itself on high educational standards and a wide range of additional activities. Your school fees help cover the cost of the first-class education your child receives at Stella, such as additional teaching staff to provide specialist curricular input.

Scholarships

It is a stated aim of Stella International School to enable children of all families to attend our school regardless of their financial circumstances. Families who identify with our values may apply for a scholarship for their child.

Important information

  • Additional costs incurred, such as printing and copying costs, educational trips, instrumental lessons, etc., are charged separately.
  • The proceeds from unclaimed sibling discounts go towards funding scholarships for children from families with low incomes. If you are able, we warmly encourage you to donate any sibling discount to which you are entitled.
  • We provide special financial packages to Stella International School teachers whose children attend the school.

Scholarship

Stella International School scholarship scheme: information for applicants

General information

We are currently in the process of establishing a scholarship fund from which we will award annual scholarships for Stella International School. The number of scholarships awarded will depend on the funds available.

Alongside this, we have established a scholarship fund for families in difficult financial circumstances. We are aware that not all families find it easy to afford tuition fees all the time.

Each year, in order to enable parents who cannot easily afford our fees to send their children to our primary school, we award scholarships on the basis of socio-economic or financial criteria and the child’s academic performance.

Scholarships cover tuition fees only and run for a duration of one year, after which the recipient family has to reapply. Our scholarship fund relies on donations and is limited. For this reason, we would ask you to let us know immediately if your circumstances change such that you no longer need the scholarship – so that our fund can help where it is needed most.

Amount of scholarship/your contribution

Scholarships are awarded in the amount of the annual tuition fee. They do not cover registration fees, lunches, afternoon care or school uniform. We generally require recipient families to contribute  60 euros per month (12 x/year) to tuition fees.

Award criteria

We award scholarships on the basis of two criteria: parental income (both parents) and the child’s academic performance. Along with your completed application form, please send us a letter of motivation telling us why you would like your child to become part of the Stella community. Scholarships are awarded at our discretion and there is no legal right to their award or to receipt of a specific amount.

+ Please apply by submitting the following documents to info@stella-dc.at:

  • Fully completed scholarship application form
  • Written evidence of the family’s special interest in the educational profile of the school
  • Annual salary statement or income tax statement for the previous calendar year
  • Letter of motivation from the child’s parent(s)/carer(s)/legal guardian(s).

Duration of award

The award is for a period of one year, after which you will need to reapply. We would like to ask you, in the spirit of our community, to please relinquish the scholarship should your circumstances improve before the scholarship expires. This will enable us to support other  families in difficult financial situations.

Spread the word

We would be very grateful if you would tell people you know about our school and our scholarship fund. In our experience, people are always willing to invest in forward-looking educational projects. You can specify that any donation you make to Stella go towards our scholarship fund (see Donations).

Stella International School came into being on the initiative of a group of committed parents. We seek to provide a cosmopolitan education centred on values that will enable young people to forge the society of tomorrow. Public funds cannot cover the crucial extra support, inspiration, resources and activities a Stella education gives.

For this reason, we ask you to please support us with your donation!
