Dear Friends of Stella International School,
We are pleased to be in touch again after the summer break and the first few weeks of school. Many of our children took part in the Stella Summer Camp and really enjoyed their time together engaging in many exciting and fun activities. Now we are looking forward to this new start. This year there are almost 60 students in the school in our three classes, with twenty of them in the new 1st grade class with their class teacher Maria Stocker. The COVID-19 regulations are demanding discipline from everyone, but we’re managing well because the children are working hard to stick to the rules. The lovely September weather was a great help in providing as many outdoor activities as possible: lessons, breaks, sports. We have also rented a new multifunctional room, the “Kubus”, the glass building right next to the classrooms. This offers good additional opportunities for play.
As always at the beginning of the new school year, we have initiated our “Good Habits” program whose goal is to further personality and character growth. Our first good habit for this year is Order. We have developed materials and new practical aids for children and parents on individual topics. Mnemonics are adapted to the individual age groups, e.g., “When I keep things tidy everyone feels more comfortable at home”, “I take care of my school”, “First work, then fun!”, etc.
The Fall holidays are coming up soon, and for the first time, our Stella autumn camp from October 27-30.
We wish you all a good year, and much strength and energy for the coming weeks!
